Happy New Year

I was watching TV one day and an advertisement for an online dating website came on. I didn't bother paying attention, until I heard "free communication weekend". I immediately signed up.

I went through the complicated process of filling out my profile and was excited to take a look at my first matches. What the advertisement didn't mention was that while "visitors" had access to profiles during this free communication weekend, non-members did not have access to pictures of members. This was both a good thing and bad. It was good because I didn't immediately discount the men because they didn't have the pretty-boy look I normally go for. It was also bad because it made me realize how shallow I actually am.

I ended up signing up for a full, three-month membership because of two reasons:

1) There were a couple of guys that hadn't gotten back to me prior to the free weekend ending and I was interested in hearing their answers to my last questions; and
2) The three-month membership was an extra 20% off! (Always the bargain hunter).

I've had two coffee dates since I thought up this brilliant plan so let's get started...
